Injury Shocker: Saints' Star QB Derek Carr Out for Weeks! 

Derek Carr, the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, suffered a shoulder injury during a game.

Carr's injury occurred in the third quarter, and he was forced to leave the game for medical evaluation.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Carr would undergo tests to check for potential "internal injuries."

The Saints had built a 17-0 halftime lead but saw their lead slip away in the fourth quarter.

Jameis Winston, the backup quarterback, took over for Carr but struggled initially, leading to several consecutive punts.

Winston managed to generate some offense in the Saints' final drive, although it ended with a missed field goal.

Winston is expected to start in the next game against Tampa Bay, the team that originally drafted him in 2015.

In Winston's previous starts with the Saints, the team had a 6-4 record, averaging 22.7 points per game.The Saints signed Derek Carr during the off-season 

to avoid a repeat of previous seasons with Winston at quarterback; however, Carr's injury raises concerns about the team's prospects for the 2023 season.
