Is It Possible for the Houston Astros to Obtain Brantley to Play First Base?

For the upcoming 2023 Major League Baseball season, the Houston Astros will welcome back Michael Brantley. Would he get any at-bats at first base?

It was always Michael Brantley's dream to play for the Houston Astros again. After missing much of last season with a shoulder injury, it was unclear if

the Astros would consider bringing him back for a sixth year.In the end, Houston and the outfielder/DH agreed to terms on a one-year, $12 million contract.

The parties expected Brantley to play mostly as a designated hitter after reaching this agreement. While that seems likely to be the case, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart notes

that Brantley could see some time at first base. Brantley might still be useful,

even with José Abreu on the team, by sharing some of Abreu's load on days when Abreu needs a break. What happens, will happen," Brantley remarked.

Also, we take a team-oriented approach at all times. My personality has always been this way.

If I can help the team out in any way, I’ll be available.

This requires a great deal of effort. I'm cramming a lot of information into a short amount of time, but everything has been going swimmingly so far.
