On Wednesday, a former NFL running back passed away at the age of 31

It was reported on Thursday morning that former Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman has died. He was 31.A few days ago, Hillman's former teammates revealed that

he had entered hospice care. Orlando Franklin wrote on Twitter, "Pray for Ronnie Hillman... this ain't right, please god, please."

Meanwhile, Derek Wolfe mentioned that Hillman was afflicted with liver cancer and pneumonia.

The Hillman family issued a statement on Instagram about the tragic news.The family stated that "Ronnie softly and painlessly transitioned today in the company of family and

close friends." "Our family is grateful for the prayers and support that have been offered. Please be patient with us as we grieve the loss of RJ and make arrangements for

his burial."The Broncos picked Hillman up in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He starred for two years at San Diego State before entering the professional league.

From 2012-2016 in the NFL, Hillman racked up 1,976 running yards, 524 receiving yards, and 13 total touchdowns. He helped the Broncos to a Super Bowl victory in 2015.
