Sourdough Cheeseburger Supremacy: Try it at home.

Ingredients 1/2 pound ground beef 1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings 4 tablespoons butter, divided 4 slices sourdough bread 4 slices Swiss cheese

3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 tablespoon ketchup 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish Salt and pepper to taste

How to make: Mix the relish, ketchup, and mayonnaise in a small bowl; cover and keep chilled. Form two oval patties out of the beef.

Burgers should be cooked in a big skillet over medium heat for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until an instant read thermometer reaches 160°. 

Add salt and pepper for seasoning; take out and keep heated. Add onion and cook in 1 tablespoon butter in the same skillet until soft. Take out and keep warm.

Butter each slice of bread on one side using two tablespoons of butter. Heat the leftover butter in the frying pan. Put the bread in the skillet, buttered side up, 

and cook for two to three minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and place the cheese on top of two of the bread slices.Cook for a further two minutes, or until the cheese melts.

Arrange the bread cheese side up on a platter and serve. Place the remaining toast, onion, relish mixture, and burger on top.
